Time Phrases

1. Explain it simply

Place time words like 今天 (today), 明天 (tomorrow), or 下午 (afternoon) before the verb to show when something happens.

Ask about clock time with 现在几点? (What time is it now?) and answer with number + 点 (diǎn).

2. Show examples

今天我去学校。

Jīntiān wǒ qù xuéxiào.

Today I go to school.

Time word at the start

明天她在家工作。

Míngtiān tā zài jiā gōngzuò.

Tomorrow she works at home.

明天 + subject + verb

现在七点。

Xiànzài qī diǎn.

It is seven o'clock now.

现在 + number + 点

3. Share a tip

Chinese sentences often follow this order: Time + Subject + Place + Verb. Practice plugging different time words into the same sentence to build fluency.
