HSK 3.0 Level 1 Practice Test Structure

The HSK 3.0 Level 1 exam has two sections: Listening (20 questions, 4 parts) and Reading (20 questions, 4 parts). You have 40 minutes total. The exam covers 300 vocabulary words and approximately 90 characters under the HSK 3.0 standard. Pinyin is provided above characters throughout the exam.

Our practice tests mirror the official HSK 3.0 format, time limits, and scoring system. Taking timed mock tests is the most effective way to gauge when you are ready for the real exam.

HSK 3.0 vs HSK 2.0 - What Changed?

The HSK 3.0 standard, effective July 2026, replaces the old HSK 2.0 system. For Level 1, the vocabulary doubles from 150 to 300 words. New topics include daily routines (起床, 上班, 做饭), food and meals (饺子, 面包, 牛奶), descriptions (贵, 便宜, 好吃), and transportation (火车, 飞机, 开车). Adverbs like 真 (really) and 再 (again), previously in HSK 2, are now part of Level 1.

No official HSK 3.0 textbooks, workbooks, or sample exams have been released yet. MyHSK1 provides the first online practice tests designed specifically for the HSK 3.0 Level 1 exam, covering the full 300-word vocabulary with 11 timed mock exams totaling 440 questions.
