1. The Service

MyHSK1 is an online platform for learning Mandarin Chinese and preparing for the HSK exams. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Your account

You sign in using a third-party provider (Google). You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in account secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information and must be old enough to use the Service in your country (at least 16 unless a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on your behalf).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
• copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our content except as expressly allowed;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service, or circumvent any access or security controls; or
• upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.

4. Teacher-created content

If you create drills or other content (for example, as a teacher), you are responsible for it and confirm you have the right to use and share it. You retain ownership of your content, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, display, and share it as needed to operate the Service (including showing it to students you assign it to). We may remove content that violates these Terms.

5. Our content and intellectual property

The Service, including its learning materials, design, and software, is owned by MyHSK1 and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for your own learning or teaching. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. Pro subscriptions and billing

• Price and renewal. Pro is a recurring subscription billed at the price shown at checkout. It renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. Your card is charged at the start of each period.
• Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current paid period, after which it does not renew.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods. EU/EEA consumers may have a statutory right of withdrawal; by starting to use paid digital content immediately, you may acknowledge that this right can be lost once the service has been fully provided.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will give you reasonable notice, and changes apply to billing periods after the notice.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not guarantee any particular learning outcome or exam result.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyHSK1 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
